چکیده

Background: In recent years, several studies show contradictory results regarding body composition in juvenile idiopathic arthritis. Adiposity Rheumatoid Arthritis and Psoriasic has been associated to inflammatory activity, but it is not clear what happens JIA. Objectives: To describe the anthropometric parameters of patients with JIA compared healthy controls analyze risk factors patients. Methods: Observational cross-sectional study spanish children aged 4-15 years matched for age sex. We recorded epidemiological variablesanthropometric parameters, clinical data validated physical activity questionnaires. Body was measured using dual-energy x-ray absorptiometry (DXA), included total mass (kg), fat (g), lean android gynoid mass. The index (FMI) defined as (kg)/height squared (m 2 ) fat-free (FFMI) ). Osteochondral lesions in children with juvenile idiopathic arthritis

BACKGROUND Joint pain and swelling are typical symptoms in children with juvenile idiopathic arthritis (JIA) and these are often related to inflammation of the joint. Juvenile osteochondritis dissecans (JOCD), that is separation of a bone-cartilage segment from the articular surface, can manifest with similar symptoms. FINDINGS We studied thirteen cases of osteochondritis dissecans lesions (O...
